Three weeks ago the French Nationals took place at Couché-Verac ( 86 ). The event happened under rough weather conditions. All throughout the race, Fred Mallard under his Lapoon-sport managed to stay in the top three spots. A non valid entry ( which was eventually accepted ) flipped the final result on its head. Fred had his winning spot taken away and was moved to 4th place. An official complaint was made with results pending.
As for each new season, pilots flying under ITV gliders have over time, enabled the brand to almost become a naturally expected presence on the competition podiums.

- 2nd. place ( solo trike category ) for Philippe Sarradin under Lapoon.

Red Bull elements
During the event, several pilots flew under the Awak 18 m2, a wing fully adapted to this kind of competition, small compact, light and fast. Victor Sebe from " The Grands Espace" school at Talloires " grabbed the first place.

Others and as talented individual were present : Eric Viret, ITV Suisse Team Pilot, nicknamed " Jet-man " has carved for himself and international reputation, flying under an Awak 12 m2, equipped with a dual jet power-pack. Each demonstration by Eric sends the crowd into an high roll of adrenaline flow and excitement. When invited to participate in an event located near the magnificent " Lake region ", he really showed his talent and mastery which landed him the name " Eric-Jet-man-Viret, a heart of gold and Titanium balls ".
Eric will be there all throughout the Coupe Icare 2012, with his aerial power-jet dancing, for us all to enjoy. Certainly, a show not to be missed.
Master Viret is a multi-talented individual : with Mika being away for a short while, Eric has temporarily been stepping in his shoes, helping in the development of the soon to come Pil-pit3, a little Speed-Riding rocket having everyone impatiently waiting to see in action next winter.
Mika Regnier seams to be on track to recovery after having experienced spine and discs problems : he will resume his wok at ITV early July, and will participate to the R&D of two new paragliding wings to be unveiled at the Coupe Icare 2012. The ITV team is excited to be complete again and ready to work on new exciting projects that keep on coming !
The "China Project " continues and is on track. After a few bumps on the road, our friend and distributor Yuming a renewed his commitment to working with ITV. The chinese instructors are now overseeing and managing the various seminars happening this season. Next August, the first SIV course for the chinese pilots from the ITV school, will take place under the supervision of Christophe Waller and Max Jorcin of the K2 school.
Ludovic Migneaux and myself will be returning to China to oversee and help with the Powered Paragliding School ( PPG School ) project.
To be continued… !
